Relaxation Therapy
What is it?
A 45 minute relaxing therapy for those who want to learn the basics of relaxation and anxiety management, or maybe just want to relax and take some much needed time out.
What is anxiety?
Anxiety is a relatively permanent state of worry or nervousness. A physchological and biological response to stress maybe seen or experienced as:
Dizziness
Cognitive difficulties
Hypersensitivity
Muscular weakness
Blurred vision
Breathing difficulties
Irregular heart beat
Sweating
Stiffness
Nausea and vomitting
Diarrohoea
Headaches
Dry mouth
Digestive disturbances
Sleep disturbances
Anxiety is a natural and healthy response to life experiences, it is how we deal with the stress that may cause subsequent problems.
The Treatment
On arrival you will complete a stress questionnaire, identifying any stress factors (if any). You will lay on a treatment couch and be talked through an indivdiual relaxation session, this may involve body-centred relaxation, mind-centred or a combination of both.
